We spend the weekend in a campground at the foot of Mount Warning, beautiful views and no reception. And finally, a campsite that allows camp fires. We had been carrying left over wood from the van conversion ever since we left Manly, planning to burn it. This is only the second time, we got a chance to make a little fire.

After the last campfire at our friends place, we decided that we needed some marshmallows to roast over the fire. In the shop, we had a chance between giant marshmallows and vegan marshmallows. We just picked the vegan ones – mostly because they were not giant. And also, why not?

After paying our bill, we were a bit shocked about the total. To our surprise, the most expensive item on the receipt were the marshmallows. We didn’t even check for the prise… Oh well, they better be good…

Luckily, they were good. Very tasty, roasted nicely and not really distinguishable from their non-vegan counterparts. We had fun roasting a few of them and finally got rid of the last wood.

Sadly, Mt. Warning itself is closed to the public. So we just had a quick stroll around and then went off to find coffee in the nearby town of Uki. We also bought some food and then had a breakfast picnic at a nearby reservoir with a magnificent view on Mt. Warning again.
