Due to a badly timed Covid outbreak in Sydney, we couldn’t start our Vanlife as planned. We first had to move to a new place and self isolate for 14 days. Lots of coffee and anticipation.
We could have probably just sneaked out anyways. But we really didn’t want to appear in the news as the idiots that spread Covid to rural NSW. Luckily, we knew someone with an empty holiday home that we could rent for a while. So we followed all the rules, properly self isolated away from everyone else. We even order groceries online and only went for a few lonely strolls at the beach to not go totally crazy.
It honestly wasn’t that bad. It gave us a good chance to organise ourselves in the van. We did a few finishing touches and minor repairs on the van and rethink our storage system. In the end, we started with a well organised van and fresh laundry into our new life.
