After various stages of lockdown, we are finally double vacced and free to move again. So we did the only natural thing and hit the road.

Our original plan was to go north into Queensland. But the border is still not open to us. Plan B is south, but a little detour seems appropriate. So we went land inwards. We made a quick stop in Grafton, where the purple Jacaranda was blooming magnificently. Learning of the day: Magpies not only swoop cyclists – they also swoop drones. Luckily neither the bird nor the drone were harmed.

After this little encounter, we continued on towards Moree. A little town somewhere in nowhere to set up camp for the night.
